On the 25th of February, the TCC German Industry Event brought together Emirati students and leading German companies to explore career opportunities, innovation, and collaboration.
Hosted jointly with the German Embassy Abu Dhabi and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the event provided a platform for meaningful discussions and hands-on engagement.
German companies including Siemens Energy, thyssenkrupp, ista, RSA-TALKE, Sven The Baker Kitchen and Robert Bosch Tool Corporation NA showcased their latest technologies and projects, giving students valuable insights into industry trends and career paths.
Emirati professionals such as Amani Alkaabi and Hazza Al Ameri shared their experiences of working in global industries in Germany for some weeks, highlighting the importance of international exposure and technical expertise.
A panel discussion featuring Helmut Reichelt, Daniel Schwappach and Lachlan MacKinnon further explored the future of German-Emirati collaboration in education and workforce development. Their insights emphasized the growing need for strong connections between Germany and the UAE to prepare students for evolving career opportunities.
The event was also a valuable networking opportunity, allowing students to engage directly with company representatives, ask questions, and gain first-hand knowledge about working in the industry. These interactions helped bridge the gap between education and real-world career possibilities.
A special thank you to the teams of Emirates National Schools, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the German Embassy, as well as our AHK member companies for their contributions to this event.
Bringing education and industry together is essential for empowering the next generation, and this event was a step forward in strengthening those connections.
