The tour started on October 13 with a Roundtable on the UAE Start-up Ecosystem that provided a comprehensive overview of the ecosystem and current trends and the contrast to the German ecosystem. The highlight of the first day was the visit of the Expand NorthStar, where the startups had the chance to pitch their solution at the Dtec stage, followed by a meeting with Hub 71. The first day was concluded with an evening reception hosted by H.E. Sybille Pfaff, German Consul General to the UAE, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in cooperation with the Emirati German Energy Partnership of the BMWE and supported by the AHK.
On October 14 the delegation started the day with the Policy and Partners Hub Event, featuring both Emirati and German start-ups. The UAE start-ups FortyGuard, Olive Gaea and Rise Future Energy joined the German Start-ups ChargeX, Deep Source, Factor2Energy, ManVision, Phlair and Theion to present their solutions in the fields of energy, sustainability, and innovation, followed by a panel discussion.
The Emirati-German Energy Partnership between the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, (BMWE) and the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) once again highlighted its role as a key facilitator of bilateral cooperation and sustainable innovation. Guidehouse and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) are both partners in the Emirati-German Energy Partnership, which promotes cooperation between the UAE and Germany on energy and climate issues.
