From 17 to 21 November, the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) was on the road across Germany together with Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA) and our AHK Legal Network member TME Legal Services to present the dynamic business landscape of the UAE and concrete market entry opportunities for German companies.  The delegation, including Gary Hooper and Mariam Saleh Rohpawar, started the journey at MEDICA in Düsseldorf, where they met innovative companies and partners interested in international expansion and explored how the UAE can serve as a strategic hub for their global growth.

The program continued with an exchange at NRW.Global Business and a roundtable with additional companies, followed by a company visit in Essen to deepen discussions on practical steps for entering the UAE market.  On Wednesday, the roadshow moved to Regensburg for an information event at IHK Regensburg together with TME Legal Services, while a parallel team joined the Trade & Connect in Munich to meet further interested companies and share insights into the opportunities and dynamics of the UAE market.

In Munich, the delegation hosted a roundtable at the Drivers & Business Club, focusing on how German SMEs can benefit from the UAE’s ecosystem, from Freezone solutions to legal and practical aspects of market entry.  In the evening, the team attended the Bavarian Export Award ceremony and enjoyed hearing inspiring success stories of Bavarian companies recognized for their international engagement, underlining the strong export spirit that also drives German–Emirati cooperation.

The roadshow concluded on Friday with a visit to Start2 in Munich for an in-depth exchange on future collaboration and potential projects with companies looking towards the UAE as their next strategic step.  AHK, together with Dubai Airport Freezone and its legal and institutional partners, remains committed to strengthening the economic ties between Germany and the UAE and to supporting German companies on their journey to the Gulf region and beyond.
