On the margins of the IRENA General Assembly and the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), the Emirati-German Energy Partnership facilitated a series of bilateral exchanges between government representatives from Germany and the UAE as well as with companies from both countries.
Marking the beginning of the 10th year of the Partnership, H.E. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEIUAE), and H.E. Stephanie von Ahlefeldt, Director-General at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) discussed the following topics of mutual interest during the High-level Steering Committee meeting in Abu Dhabi:
- Cross-border energy infrastructure
- Energy efficiency
- Hydrogen & sustainable aviation fuels (SAF)
- Power system flexibility
- Energy & AI as a cross-cutting theme
- Engagement with young energy professionals & startups
The continuous and trustful bilateral dialogue reaffirms the strategic energy cooperation between Germany and the UAE.
