"Leading with Resilience: Empowering Leaders in the Modern Era"
We were delighted to host the Women-led Majlis "Leading with Resilience: Empowering Leaders in the Modern Era" in collaboration with AmCham Dubai, Member, Global Network of American Chambers of Commerce (American Business Council). Sabine Krafzel Khourdaji, AHK Board Member and Chairperson of the AHK Business Women Forum, and Cara Nazari, CEO of Amcham Dubai, gave opening speeches to welcome the approximately 100 guests. Samia Kanawati, External Affairs Director GCC at MSD, emphasized in her keynote speech the need for a supportive workplace environment for female leaders to thrive.
During the panel discussion led by Ashraf Mallak, Managing Director of MSD GCC, esteemed leaders such as German Consul General Sybille Pfaff, U.S. Consul General Meghan Gregonis, H.E. Dr. Mariam Mohamed Fatima Matar MD Phd, and AHK Board Member and Director- Healthcare at Mubadala, Mina Hamoodi shared their insights on resilient leadership and effective strategies to overcome challenges. The discussion was insightful, honest and personal, leaving the attendees inspired.
The event also featured a powerful speech from Grade 8 student, Emma Bousaba, who highlighted the challenges and pressure teenagers face nowadays, and emphasized the importance of women empowerment and mentoring from a young age.
Key takeaways from the discussions included prioritizing physical and mental wellbeing, maintaining an open-minded approach, and building a strong network of support.
