Following a successful visit to Oman, the delegation continued to the UAE to examine innovations in digitalisation and automation within the logistics sector. Joined by distinguished guests, including German Consul General Sybille Pfaff and representatives from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), we arranged a tailored programme in Dubai showcasing the UAE’s role as a global logistics hub.
From 6th to 7th November, the delegation participated in a tailored programme designed to showcase the UAE’s market strengths and opportunities in logistics and automation. Highlights included a visit to Jebel Ali Port, where advanced innovations in container storage solutions were demonstrated, and a tour of the DHL Innovation Center Middle East, which provided valuable insights into emerging industry trends and sustainability initiatives. At Dubai CommerCity, meetings with companies such as Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, BEUMER Group, WeFreight, and LunaTech highlighted cutting-edge solutions and the transformative role of artificial intelligence in logistics.
Additionally, the delegation attended the 10th anniversary celebration of Rödl & Partner in Dubai, which offered an excellent opportunity to network with key industry players and strengthen ties within the business community. The programme underscored the UAE’s position as a leader in logistics innovation and fostered new avenues for economic collaboration between Germany and the UAE.
