An excellent overview over Blockchain, Bitcoin and ICO was given at the Joint Seminar by several Business Councils on September 18, 2018.
Gustavo Montero of AGAR Development started the seminar with an introduction of the important elements and explained their functions and connections. He then proceeded with the advantages and disadvantages as well as possible future outlooks of Blockchain.
Following that, his colleague Alex Rigaud presented an innovative start-up app, called Pockero that combines the idea of an “UBER for anything” with a payment and reward system that uses Blockchains. The app was already approved by SAP and was recently launched in France and is scheduled to come to the local market soon.
Last, Pierre-Yves Lucas from Bonnard Lawson International Law Firm gave an insight into the legal aspects, from the proceedings of launching an ICO to existing laws on the topic in the UAE.
