On Thursday, 18th of April 2019, the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) invited members and friends of the AHK to their fourth annual Asparagus Dinner at the Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
AHK guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Dalia Abu Samra-Rothe, Deputy CEO and Director of AHK Abu Dhabi office.
The guests were thrilled about the many delicacies at the buffet, but the white asparagus, which was specially imported from Germany, was truly the highlight of the evening. Whether it was as soup or traditionally prepared poached asparagus with potatoes, ham, herb pancakes and hollandaise sauce, the vegetable inspired all the way.
The raffle left a few lucky winners particularly happy, as they went home with gift baskets from Granini and Tchibo – courtesy of our Premium Partner G.A.A.S.T. -, two 1kg. white German asparagus bunches and various prizes from the Rosewood Hotel, including vouchers for their different restaurants and spa.
