After the summer break, the Young Leaders UAE community came back together on 2 September 2026 at the DHL Express Head Office in Meydan. 40 members and guests attended what was both the first Business Breakfast of the new season and the first event held in partnership with a host company.
The morning opened with networking over breakfast before Mahmoud HajHussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, welcomed the group. Marwa Abdulbaki followed with an introduction to DHL Express and the role the company plays in connecting businesses and markets across the region and beyond.
The main part of the programme was a panel discussion on the business outlook in the region post conflict, moderated by Dr Sepehr Hamzehlouia, Board Member of the Young Leaders UAE and CEO of FOERSTER Middle East. He was joined by Annabell Dzeik of Würth UAE, Anke Brandts of Epson Middle East and Martin Bremen of DIMOS Middle East. The conversation moved across procurement, management decisions under pressure, lessons from earlier crises and how companies can position themselves for what comes next. The panellists spoke openly about their own experience, which gave the discussion a practical quality that carried into the conversations afterwards.
The morning closed with a guided tour of the DHL Express facility, giving participants a look at the operations behind a global logistics network.
