Since 1 June 2026, a new Civil Code has been in force in the UAE. It replaces the 1985 law that, for four decades, formed the backbone of civil and contractual relations in the UAE. The changes affect, among other things, pre-contractual duties, hardship, liability for latent defects, framework agreements and construction contracts. In our workshop, we will show what this means for your contract practice and what you should be paying attention to now.
