The expansion of renewable energy is becoming increasingly important in the United Arab Emirates, particularly in the field of solar energy, which serves as a key foundation for the production of green hydrogen. The region is rapidly developing into a global hotspot for green hydrogen technologies. With ambitious climate targets, multi-billion investments in renewable energy, and a growing export infrastructure, the country is positioning itself as a leading player in the global energy transition.
In the energy sector, German companies benefit from strong business opportunities, particularly in renewable energy and power generation technologies, as well as in environmental technologies such as waste management, recycling, and water treatment.
The Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB), in cooperation with Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) and in collaboration with the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK UAE), is organizing an Industry Cluster Delegation to Dubai from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in the context of the Intersolar Middle East trade fair — the leading platform in Dubai for manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, service providers, and partners in the solar industry.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, networks, and institutions from the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region operating in the sector are invited to participate. The objective of the delegation is to provide German participants with first-hand insights into the target market while facilitating intensive networking opportunities. Participants will gain valuable input for their own business models, explore potential partnerships, and establish initial contacts with key industry players, decision-makers, and market experts in the region.
In addition, the delegation offers insights into current industry trends through exchanges with innovative companies, research and development institutions, networks, clusters, and other relevant organizations in the target market.
