Key topics will cover employer measures in times of crisis, including remote and hybrid work models, leave arrangements, and the adaptation of business travel policies in line with duty of care obligations.
In addition, we will explore cross-border work situations, such as employees working from outside the UAE, and highlight key issues around insurance, social security, and legal compliance. Participants will also gain insights into employer responsibilities towards expatriates, as well as the tax implications for employees spending longer periods outside the UAE, especially in relation to tax residency rules and possible tax exposure in other countries.
Following the expert input, the session will transition into an interactive roundtable, offering participants the opportunity to raise their specific questions, share experiences, and engage in a peer-to-peer exchange on practical challenges and best practices.
