Welcome to the conference “Energy Solutions – Made in Germany” 

This time the German Industry and Commerce Office (AHK) Oman, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the German Renewables Academy (renac) present to you the third German renewable energy conference (the first was hosted in October 2014, the second in April 2016) titled “Energy Solutions – Made in Germany”, RENEWABLES – PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLUTIONS, CSP & MORE which will be held on Monday, 6th of November 2017 from 10:00 am – 15:00 pm at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Muscat- Afrah ballroom.

The conference will bring together government officials and representatives of the relevant local business community to discuss renewable energy solutions for Oman.

After a welcome and opening address from Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte, Deputy CEO of the German Industry and Commerce (AHK) in the Gulf Region for Oman, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Iraq, and from the German Ambassador to Oman HE Thomas F. Schneider; Ms. Céline Kittel (renac) will introduce the “German Energy Solutions Initiative”, followed by Mr. Olivier Druecke presenting an interesting overview about “Understanding the German Energiewende (energy transition) – impacts of decentralized power supply”.

Further presentations from relevant local stakeholders will be held by Eng. Hilal Al Ghaithy, Authority for Electricity Regulations on “Renewable Energy in Oman – An update on opportunities” and by Dr. Sausan Al Riyami, Institute of Advanced Technology Integration (IATI), The Research Council on “Using solar energy for continuous hybrid cooling”.

Representatives from 5 of the well-established and experienced German market leaders from the renewable sector will be presenting their ideas and solutions for Oman’s renewable energy market.

Solibro GmbH; “The SOLIBRO CIGS technology - Thin-film solar cells with highest efficiency”;

The companies will also meet during their stay in Muscat from November 7th-8th Individually with potential business partners.
