We had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Dorothea Schuetz and Mrs. Anne Jacobs-Schleithoff from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) to Doha end of February. Their visit was a fantastic opportunity for engaging in insightful discussions and exploring the innovative landscape of German startups and companies at the Web Summit Qatar.
Beyond the summit, the delegation engaged in fruitful talks with several key Qatari government entities. These discussions centered on expanding collaboration within the framework of the German-Qatari Energy Partnership and exploring exciting investment and cooperation opportunities across sectors such as industry, technology and environment. These exchanges reinforced our commitment to strengthening our ties in these critical areas, paving the way for shared growth and sustainability goals between our two nations. A particular highlight of the visit was our meeting with the Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA). The intercultural exchange focused on the crucial role women play in driving economic growth and shaping the future of business. In addition, the delegation met with representatives of German companies in Qatar receiving valuable insights on the business environment.
