New connection operational from October - more capacity and services for passengers
The world’s largest international airline Emirates will operate an A380 on one of two daily flights from Hamburg to Dubai starting on October 29, 2018. The use of the double-deck Airbus will increase capacity between Hamburg and Dubai by 22 per cent. This brings weekly seating capacity to 6,090 seats per route in future. The Arab airline is now offering business and leisure travellers in northern Germany even more travel options to Dubai.

World’s largest passenger jet
The Emirates A380 between Hamburg and Dubai offers a total of 516 seats, including 14 private suites in First Class, 76 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 426 seats in Economy Class on the main deck. Free Wlan and two spa showers will be available for First Class passengers. The current fleet of 105 aircraft makes Emirates the world’s largest A380 operator.

Production of A380 in Hamburg
The A380 will be used once on the EK059/EK060 morning rotation on October 29 to celebrate the “launch of the A380 link” celebrations in Hamburg. From October 30, 2018, the Emirates A380 will operate Boeing 777-300ER jets on the second daily service (EK059/EK060) between Dubai and Hamburg. Boeing 777-300ER jets will continue to be used on the second daily connection between Dubai and Hamburg. Most of the airline’s A380 jets are manufactured at Airbus in Hamburg, where cabin installation, paintwork are done and from where the aircraft are are delivered. js/sb/pb
