Bavaria Representative Office
The Bavarian representative office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was opened in 2006. The office promotes contact between entrepreneurs from Bavaria and the UAE and establishes relationships between potential investors and trading partners. Through these processes interested enterprises are supplied with all necessary information about Bavaria as a business location.
In recent years, nonstop flights from Munich to Abu Dhabi and Dubai have boosted the exchange between the UAE and Bavaria. Between the two states there is a trade volume of nearly one billion Euros. This makes the UAE Bavaria’s most important trade partner in the Middle East.
In addition to trade there is significant Bavarian direct investment in the Gulf. Currently, there are around 30 Bavarian companies in the UAE. Firms like Siemens, Bauer Special Foundation Construction, and Rhode & Schwarz which have been high performers in the region for many years.
